How a self-guided crawl works
Pick your stops
Stops are the directory listings within about 60 miles of central Houston, sorted nearest first. Read what each place grows and tick “Add to my crawl” — every stop you claim stamps your passport.
Confirm before you go
Pins are ZIP-level, not street addresses. Follow the farm's own site link (where one is listed) and confirm the exact address — and that a visit works — with the farm itself.
Crawl at your own pace
Share or print your passport and head out — an afternoon, a weekend, one stop at a time. Finish every stop on a curated route and the route earns its seal. Please be a good guest: stay on paths, ask before picking, and thank the growers.

Every stop on this map is a verified Farm2Chef directory listing — that is what keeps the map honest, and it is how new stops get in. There are two doors, depending on who you are:

Claim or add your listing in the directory. Once it is verified, your garden or farm is eligible to appear as a crawl stop — and neighbors can find you.
You organize crawls & garden days
Sign in and apply for the organizer role on your account, then propose stops and garden events through the Demo Board — the same intake our team reviews for chef demos at farms and markets.
A proposal is not a pin: proposed stops join the map once the listing behind them is verified — the same consent rule that governs the whole directory. Running a crawl with stops that aren't listed yet? Start with the claim door, then the organizer door, and the route can follow. Spotted a stop that needs a correction? Email us and we'll fix it.
