Farm2Chef · Ad Policy

Advertising here is labelled, limited, and honest.

One sentence to judge every placement by: this is here because the provider paid for extra exposure — it is not a claim that the provider is better. Everything below is that sentence, spelled out.

What we sell

A small number of clearly labelled placements, in fixed slots: a featured section on the app home, a featured row in the farm directory (inside the sponsor's own category only), one sponsored block per newsletter issue, paid-partnership features on our social channels, and sponsored event features. Slots are scarce on purpose — a handful per surface, never a takeover.

What we never sell

How placements are labelled

Every paid unit carries its label right on it, where you meet it — never in a footer or behind a click. On app and directory cards the label reads “Featured partner — Sponsored”. A newsletter block is headed “Sponsored”. A social post opens with “Paid partnership with [name]” and uses the platform's paid-partnership tool. An event reads “Sponsored by [name]”. The word “featured” on its own never means paid here — and our editorial partner features, which nobody paid for, are never labelled as if they were ads.

How sponsors are vetted

A person reviews every application: is this business relevant to the category it wants to appear in, are its claims accurate, is the destination page honest, does it conflict with the community this platform serves? Regulated categories — health claims, alcohol, financial promises, licensed professions — get extra screening. Payment never promises approval: we can decline or pause any placement, and when we do, the terms below say what happens to the money.

Reporting you can trust

We count placements with our own first-party analytics — no third-party ad trackers or pixels anywhere. Sponsor reports carry exact counts (placements delivered, dates, views, clicks, and tracked outcomes where tracking was set up in advance), with measured numbers and estimates clearly separated. We never guarantee clicks, leads, or sales, and we never dress an estimate up as a measurement.

Refunds and make-goods

If we cannot deliver a placement as described, the sponsor chooses: an equivalent make-good placement at no charge, or a refund of the undelivered portion. If a placement is paused for a policy or claim-accuracy concern, the undelivered portion is credited or refunded. If creative or claims are not accepted at review, any payment taken in error is refunded in full.
