Why Learn exists
For students
Skills, a real chef's mentorship, and a path to paid work. These aren't theory lectures — they're the classes our workforce students take in person, recorded in real kitchens and gardens, with the standard our employers hire against.
For institutions
Workforce outcomes you can report: enrollments, completions, certificates, assessment gains — exported for your funders. Buy seats for a cohort; your students onboard themselves; you watch the dashboard, not a spreadsheet.
The content
Recorded from live classes in the TSU Workforce Readiness program and Travel Villa Kitchen's own series — the same instructors, the same farms, the same standard as the room. Every lesson captioned, every course watchable on a phone.
The tracks
Culinary Foundations
Knife work, stocks, mother sauces, plating — the ground every working cook stands on.
Barista & Coffee
Brewing science, espresso craft, roast profiles — from the Six Rows Coffee curriculum.
Agriculture & Growing
Soil, seasons, and market growing, taught with the farmers of our 1,407 directory.
Food Business & Workforce Readiness
Costing, pricing, permits, and professionalism — the business of feeding people, taught the way TSU's Workforce program teaches it.
Food Safety
Certified food-manager preparation and kitchen safety standards, aligned to Texas requirements.
TSU Workforce Readiness — students, start here
Already in the cohort? Your class lives here now. This is your door for virtual sessions, recordings, and the student guides — the same materials your instructors teach from.
Your account
Log in with the email you registered with. New to the platform? Create your account in two minutes — it's the same login you'll use for every class, recording, and guide from here on.
Joining virtually
When you register for a virtual session, your login email carries your join link. Sessions run on Google Meet and are recorded through our teaching profile — and a copy of the recording lands in the student library for your cohort, so a missed class is never a lost class.
Student library
Guides, handouts, references, and class recordings for the TSU Workforce Readiness cohort — the full folder your instructors pull from, open to enrolled students.
TSU administrators: Dr. Benson and Dr. Seals hold administrator access to this library and the cohort's materials — the platform is set up so the program's own leadership can pull any guide or handout directly.
Instructors: your profiles, guides, and class ledger live on the Instructor Hub — onboard there.
For institutions — seats, not software
Universities, workforce boards, schools, and nonprofits buy seats: a pilot cohort for one term, or an annual license your students draw from all year. Your cohort gets its own enrollment code, completion tracking, certificates, and reporting exports. Pricing is set per cohort — tell us your cohort size below and we'll build your pilot.
Travel Villa Kitchen is already an approved Texas Southern University vendor through the TSU Workforce program — if your institution works with us there, your procurement path is already open.
How it works
Join the list
Two minutes, below. Students: tell us your track. Institutions: tell us your cohort size.
Your track opens
The first recorded courses open with the Learn launch. List members hear first — students get enrollment, institutions get the pilot offer.
Learn, complete, certify
Watch anywhere, complete the assessments, earn the certificate. Institutions see every completion in their report.
Join the Learn list
Students and institutions both start here. We'll email you when your track — or your cohort pilot — opens.
You're on the Learn list.
Thank you — a confirmation email is on its way. When your track opens (or your cohort pilot is ready), you'll hear it from us first.
You're already on the list.
An entry for that email is already in — no need to submit twice. We'll be in touch when your track opens.
One kitchen. One ecosystem.
Learn is the classroom of the same platform: the chefs on the demo board teach here, the farmers in the directory grow here, and the students who finish here walk into the jobs and practices the platform runs.
